When you bear responsibility for others, it can be difficult to bring focus back to yourself. Whether that responsibility comes from relationships, family roles, work, community, internalized pressure social expectations, it may result in your emotions, needs and wants to be chronically pushed off, waiting for the “right time” to address them. But what if that “right time” doesn’t come and your needs keep getting pushed. Over time, those unmet needs turn into resentment, burnout and soon enough pushing through your limits and avoiding your emotions becomes a way of life. You hope for change but aren’t sure how. You’re feeling overwhelmed, reactive, misunderstood and guilty. You keep trying to do this on your own but continue to feel stuck, exhausted and don’t know what else to do. Hello, I’m so glad you’re here, I’m Rachel. A social worker, millennial, mom, therapist and ever-evolving human, I deeply value the opportunity to be here, supporting others on life’s journey as their therapist while they improve their mental health by stabilizing anxiety, improving engagement in relationships and living with greater presence and purpose. I honor each individual’s unique experiences leading up to the moments of our work together and am privileged to support them in holding space for the weight of their experiences. My clients describe me as warm, compassionate, honest and engaged. I use humor, as appropriate, sharing laughs, tears, fears and hope. I have extensive experience with various evidence-based modalities which I utilize in practice but never at the expense of taking the time and attention my clients deserve to understand their unique and rich lived experiences and respond with curiosity, care and attunement to their needs. With a depth-oriented approach, we won’t stay on surface level anxiety and coping skills. We will travel below, at a pace that is tailored for and with you, to work with the sources of your anxiety and help you reach greater healing and lasting change.

We will briefly discuss what led you to consider therapy and I will answer any questions you have about therapy with me or in general.
